Touro University California ~ College of Pharmacy, a regionally accredited Pharmacy school located in Northern California. The program at Touro University California is different from most – it is 2+2. We require students to have completed college (with the appropriate pre-requisites for our doctoral program) to help ensure that they are academically prepared. We do not require the PCAT (standardized tests may not be the best predictor of success for pharmacy school). Once in our PharmD program, students complete two intensive years of coursework supplemented by developing skills that they will need as a pharmacist (e.g. giving immunizations/shots). Then, they complete two full years of rotations in real practice sites – most pharmacy schools require only one year of practical training.
